On This Day in 1996, Sri Lanka wicketkeeper batsman Romesh Kaluwitharana scored his maiden hundred in an ODI hundred. He scored an unbeaten 100 runs in 89 balls against Kenya in Nairobi, when Sri Lanka chased down the target of 189 runs.
