Rain won the first match between Bangladesh and New Zealand
Rain washed out the first one-day international between Bangladesh and New Zealand on Thursday at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. Bangladesh captain Litton Das won the toss and opted to bowl first.
After losing the toss, New Zealand scored 136 runs for a loss of five wickets in 33.4 overs until the match was officially called off. Will Young was the top scorer with 58 runs. Henry Nicholls scored an unbeaten 44 runs. Other than that, no one was able to pass the double-figure mark. For Bangladesh, Mustafizur Rahman claimed 3 wickets, while Nasum Ahmed took 2 wickets.
