Dunith Wellalage thanks to SLC
The ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023 will be held in Sri Lanka from July 13–23. Eight teams will play in the tournament. Sri Lanka A team will play against Bangladesh A, and Afghanistan ‘A’ will meet Oman ‘A’ on the first day of the tournament. Before starting the tournament, eight captains and Ravi Wickramarathne join the Pre- tournament Media conference and address the media.
During the Media briefing, Sri Lanka A team skipper Dunith Wellalage said that he should thank the Sri Lanka Cricket Board for giving him this opportunity to lead the Sri Lanka A team.
“We (Sri Lanka) have a balanced and experienced side, and we want to give a good tournament. We had a good couching staff and we had good training sessions in the past few days, and we are looking forward to play the up-coming matches in the tournament.” Dunith Wellalage said: It’s a good experience to play in a tournament like this. he added.
Also, he talked about the Sri Lanka A team’s first match against Bangladesh and said that Both the Sri Lanka A team and the Bangladesh A team are really good, and the better team will play tomorrow, and they hope to play a competitive game tomorrow.
