Most consecutive half centuries for Sri Lanka
Sri Lankan opening batsman Dimuth Karunarathne scored his fourth consecutive ODI fifty in the 11th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers 2023 against Oman. He scored an unbeaten 61 runs against Oman and guided his team to a 10-wicket victory.
Scoring consecutive half centuries is a special achievement for a batsman. For Sri Lanka, Sanath Jayasuriya, TM Dilshan, Kumar Sangakkara, and Dinesh Chandimal have scored the most consecutive half centuries in ODI matches. Those players have scored five Fifties in consecutive innings.
Also, Aravinda de Silva, Sanath Jayasuriya, Chamara Silva, and Dimuth Karunarathne have scored four consecutive half centuries, while Kumar Sangakkara has achieved that milestone three times.
