Test Cricket Back in Kandy after 1 year
Sri Lanka vs Australia 1st Test scheduled to be played at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy.Pallekele International Cricket Stadium established in 2009 and since then it host just 4 Test matches. Out of these 4 Test matches only one match ended up with a result. Pakistan the Only team to win here at Pallekele. The Last Test was played here July 3-7 in last year.
Sri Lanka and Australia meet here at One time in a Test Match previously in 2011 which ended up with a draw. Shaun Marsh made his Test Debut in that match and he scored 141 runs in 1st Innings. When Sri Lankan played here in Pallekele they had their experienced players like Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardena and TM Dilshan. Also Australian side lost their some big names like Shane Watson,Michael Clarke,Mitchell Johnson and Brad Haddin.
