Kohli and Ashin stars in 4th Test
Virat Kohli’s double ton and Ravichandran Ashwin’s brilliant bowling registered a convincing win over England, in 4th test match, at the Mumbai on Monday. England Captain Alastair Cook won the coin toss, and elected to bat first.
After they won the toss England off to a solid start and they made 99 runs partnership for the first wicket. For England it was Keaton Jennings was the top scorer with 112 runs. He made his maiden test hundred on his debut. Moeen Ali(50) and Jos Buttler(76) contribute to build a decent score for English man. while in the bowling department, it was Ravichandran Ashwin, who claimed six wickets. Finally England team all out for 400 runs in the 1st Innings.
In reply that India made 631 runs. Murali Vijay(136) and Jayant Yadav(104) scored hundred and helped Indian to score this mammoth total. However it was India captain Virat Kohli who was the star of Indian inning. He played a captain knock and made 235 runs. Virat Kohli and Jayant Yadav made 241 runs partnership for the 8th Wicket. Adil Rashid took 4 wickets in India 1st Innings.
England stared their second innings 231 behind and they manage to score 195 runs in 2nd Innings. Joe Root(77) and Jonny Bairstow(51) made half- centuries but no one able to score a big score. Again It was Ravichandran Ashwin who took 6 wickets. However England fall 36 runs short on their follow-on and it clam innings and 36 runs victory for the India. Virat Kohli named player of the match for his incredible 235 runs.
