Comfortable win for Sri Lanka over Bangladesh

Sri Lanka registered a 328-run win over Bangladesh at Sylhet on Monday. Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and opted to bowl first.

After losing the toss, Sri Lanka were off to a bad start, and they lost five wickets for 57 runs. After that, Dhananjaya de Silva and Kamindu Mendis made a 202-run partnership for the sixth wicket. Both Dhananjaya de Silva and Kamindu Mendis made 102 runs each. Eventually, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 280 runs. For Bangladesh, Nahid Rana and Khaled Ahmed claimed three wickets each.

In reply to that, Bangladesh is all out for 188 runs. Taijul Islam was the top scorer for Bangladesh, scoring 47 runs. Litton Das scored 25 runs, and Khaled Ahmed scored 22 runs. For Sri Lanka, Vishwa Fernando took 4 wickets, while Kasun Rajitha and Lahiru Kumara chipped in with 3 wickets each.

Sri Lanka start their 2nd inning with a 92-run lead. However, Sri Lanka has four wickets for 64 runs. Dimuth Karunarathne scored 52 runs. Once again, Dhananjaya de Silva and Kamindu Mendis made 173 runs for the 7th wicket. Dhananjaya de Silva scored 108 runs. Kamindu Mendis was the star with the bat for Sri Lanka and scored 164 runs. For Bangladesh, Mehidy Hasan Miraz took four wickets. Eventually, Sri Lanka bowled out 418 runs in their 2nd inning.

Bangladesh came out to bat and chased down the target of 511 runs to win. However, Bangladesh were bowled out for 182 runs. Mehidy Hasan Miraz scored 33 runs, and Zakir Hasan scored 19 runs. Mominul Haque was the top scorer with an unbeaten 87 runs. For Sri Lanka, Kasun Rajitha claimed 5 wickets, while Vishwa Fernando chipped in with 3 wickets.
