The USA created history by beating Pakistan

The United States won the Super Over after the match was tied against Oman in the 11th match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 at Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas. United States captain Monank Patel won the toss and opted to bowl first.

After losing the toss, Pakistan managed to score 159 runs for a loss of seven wickets in their 20 overs. After a sheaky start, Babar Azam and Shadab Khan made a 72-run partnership for the 4th wicket. Shadab Khan scored 40 runs in 25 balls. Skipper Babar Azam scored 44 runs in 43 balls. At the back end of the inning, Shaheen Afridi contributed with a valuable unbeaten 23 runs. For the United States, Nosthush Kenjige claimed three wickets.

In reply to that, the United States managed to score exactly 159 runs for a loss of three wickets in their 20 overs. Skipper Monank Patel was the top scorer with 50 runs on 38 balls. Andries Gous scored 35 runs, while Aaron Jones contributed with an unbeaten 36 runs.

After the match was tied, the United States batted first in the super over and scored 18 runs for a loss of one wicket. In reply to that, Pakistan managed to score only 13 runs for the loss of one wicket in the Super Over.
