The top seven teams of the World Cup will qualify for the Champions Trophy 2025
The International Cricket Council confirmed that the top seven teams of the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup and the host nation, Pakistan, will qualify for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Currently, England and Bangladesh are in 9th and 10th place in the point table, respectively. However, with that decision, three test playing nations—the West Indies, Zimbabwe, and Ireland—will miss the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy.
The last edition of the ICC Champions Trophy was played in 2017 in England, and Pakistan are the defending champions of the tournament after beating India in the final at the Oval.
