Sri Lanka Played First Test

17th of February 1982, Sri Lanka became the 8th Test playing country. They played their first ever Test match against England at P. Saravanamuttu Stadium, Colombo. Bandula Warnapura was the First captain for Sri Lanka and unfortunately Sri Lanka lost the match by 7 wickets.

Chamara Silva first Hundred

17th of February 2007, Sri Lankan middle order batsman Chamara Silva scored his first hundred in ODI matches. He scored an unbeaten 107 runs in 107 balls against India but Sri Lanka lost the match by 7 wickets.
