Rashid Khan and Mujeeb will miss the T20I series against Sri Lanka

The Afghanistan Cricket Board announced a 16-member squad for the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. Afghanistan’s regular T20I captain, Rashid Khan, continues to recover from back surgery, and he was not included in the squad. With the absence of Rashid Khan, Afghan opener Ibrahim Zadran will lead the side. Also, Afghanistan’s main spinning bowler, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, will miss the T20I series due to sustaining a sprain in his right phalanx (hand) before the start of the ODI series against Sri Lanka.
