Pakistan A beats the India A in the Final

Pakistan A registered a massive 128-run win over India A in the final of the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023 on Sunday in Colombo. India A captain, Yash Dhull, won the toss and opted to bowl first.

After losing the toss, Pakistan put a huge total on the board and scored 352 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their 50 overs. Saim Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan made a 121-run partnership for the first wicket. Saim Ayub scored 59 runs, while Sahibzada Farhan contributed 65 runs. Tayyab Tahir was the top scorer with 108 runs, and Omair Yousuf and Mubasir Khan contributed 35 runs each. 

In reply, India A bowled out for 224 runs in 40 overs. Sai Sudharsan and Abhishek Sharma were off to a flying start, and they made 64 runs for the first wicket. Sai Sudharsan scored 29 runs, and Abhishek Sharma was the top scorer with 61 runs. After a good start, India lost momentum, and Pakistan’s bowlers put pressure on India. Indian skipper Yash Dhull scored 39 runs. For Pakistan A Sufiyan Muqeem claimed three wickets. 

With that win, Pakistan A registered their second consecutive ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup title.
