Netherlands qualified for the ICC Cricket World Cup

The Netherlands registered a 4 wicket win over Scotland in the 8th Match of the Super Six stage in ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers 2023 on Thursday at Bulawayo. Netherlands captain Scott Edwards won the coin toss and opted to bowl first. 

After losing the toss, Scotland scored 277 runs for nine wickets in their 50 overs. Brandon McMullen was the top scorer with 106 runs in 110 balls, and skipper Richie Berrington scored 64 runs. Tomas Mackintosh contributed 38 runs. For the Netherlands, Bas de Leede claimed five wickets.

In reply, the Netherlands chased down the target successfully and scored 278 runs for the loss of six wickets in 42.5 overs. Bas de Leede was the top scorer and unfortunately ran out for 123 runs. Vikramjit Singh scored 40 runs.

With that win, the Netherlands qualified for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, which was held in India.
