Mayank Yadav destroyed RCB hopes

Lucknow Super Giants registered a 28-run win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the 15th match of the Indian Premier League 2024 at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Tuesday. Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and opted to bowl first.

After losing the toss, the Lucknow Super Giants made 181 runs for a loss of 5 wickets in their 20 overs. Quinton de Kock was the star with the bat, scoring 81 runs in 56 balls with 8 fours and 5 sixes. Marcus Stoinis scored 24 runs, and at the back end of the inning, Nicholas Pooran smashed an unbeaten 40 runs in just 21 balls. For Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Glenn Maxwell claimed two wickets.

In reply to that, Royal Challengers Bengaluru bowled out 153 runs in 19.4 overs. The RCB openers were off to a flying start and scored 40 runs. Virat Kohli scored 22 runs, and Faf du Plessis scored 19 runs. However, after that, Bengaluru lost momentum. They lost wickets at regular intervals. Mahipal Lomror was the top scorer with 33 runs in just 13 balls, and Rajat Patidar scored 29 runs. For the Lucknow Super Giants, Mayank Yadav claimed three wickets.
