The third match of the Asia Cup 2023 ended with no results due to rain and no single ball bowled in the second innings on Saturday at Pallekele. India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bat first.

After winning the toss, India was bowled out for 266 runs in 48.5 overs. The match was interrupted a few times. Pakistan’s fast bowlers kept things tight and put pressure on the Indian top order. After losing four wickets early, Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya made a 138-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Hardik Pandya was the top scorer with 87, and Ishan Kishan scored 82 runs. For Pakistan, Shaheen Afridi claimed four wickets, while Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf chipped in with three wickets each.

However, the end of the 1st inning match was called off due to the rain, and not even one ball was played in the 2nd inning. Both teams shared the point, and Pakistan qualified for the Super Fours.
