India is in a strong position
At the end of Day 2 of the 1st Test match between India and the West Indies on Thursday at Roseau, India led by 162 runs. India Start the second day of the Test match with 80 runs without losing a wicket. Indian openers set a 229-run partnership for the first wicket until skipper Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 103 runs. 11 runs later, Shubman Gill departs for just six runs. After that, Virat Kohli joined with opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal and made an unbeaten 72 runs for the 3rd wicket at the end of the day’s play. Yashasvi Jaiswal made his maiden hundred in Test matches on his Test debut.
At the end of the day’s play, Yashasvi Jaiswal stayed on not out for 143 runs, while Virat Kohli on the other end had 36 runs. For the West Indies, Jomel Warrican and Alick Athanaze claimed one wicket each.
