Huge win for South Africa against Bangladesh

South Africa registered a 149-run win over Bangladesh in the 23rd match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 on Tuesday at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. South African captain Aiden Markram won the toss and opted to bat first.

After winning the toss, South Africa made a huge total and scored 382 runs for a loss of 5 wickets in their 50 overs. Quinton de Kock was the top scorer with 174 runs in 140 balls with 15 fours and 7 sixes. Aiden Markram scored 60 runs, while Heinrich Klaasen smashed 90 runs in just 49 balls.

In reply to that, Bangladesh were bowled out for 233 runs in 46.4 overs. South African bowlers kept things tight and took wickets at regular intervals. Bangladesh lost their top order cheaply. Litton Das scored 22 runs, and Nasum Ahmed scored 19 runs. For Bangladesh, Mahmudullah was the only successful batter, and he scored 111 runs. For South Africa, Gerald Coetzee claimed three wickets.
