A Sri Lankan player has been among the top 10 batters after a while

At the end of the ODI series between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, Sri Lankan players moved up in the latest ICC men’s ODI rankings.

Sri Lankan all-rounder Janith Liyanage progressed 118 places to 87th place in the latest ICC men’s ODI batting rankings. He was the top scorer in the recently concluded ODI series against Bangladesh. Janith Liyanage scored 177 runs in 3 matches, including a hundred.

Aslo Sri Lankan vice captain Charith Asalanka moved up to 14th place in the latest ICC men’s ODI batting rankings. Asalanka scored 146 runs in the three matches. Sri Lankan opening batter progressed 3 places to 8th place. This is the first time a Sri Lankan player has been among the top 10 batters after a while. Pathum Nissanka scored 151 runs in the ODI series against Bangladesh.

On the other hand, Sadeera Samarawickrama and Avishka Fernando dropped to 47th and 98th place, respectively, according to the latest ICC men’s ODI batting rankings.

Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga progressed 4 places to 25th place in the latest ICC Men’s ODI bowling rankings.
