Sri Lankan batsman Kusal Mendis failed once again and he got out for duck. This is the 4 time that he got out for 00 in his last 4 innings. Every Sri Lankan fans got disappointed with his performance and make some funny posts. But Sri Lankan fast bowler Dhammika Prasad posted a post on his personal Facebook account and make a special request from Cricket Fans.

Yes agreed he didn’t do well recently and he did well in patches, he didn’t continuing his form as other great batsman’s used to do. He’s young he got the talent, he proved that in many times. Unfortunately he didn’t carry his form so long. I played with him his very first test match against West Indies at P. Sara grounds in 2015. Unfortunately it was my last international match. I suffered from bad shoulder after that game. On that game I recognized this guy have special talent to be a great cricketer in future for srilanka. It’s happened. He scored so many good innings for us. In South Africa after finished the test match at presentation ceremony he made controversial statement. Becoz he wasn’t mature enough to think twice how it will effect to him. But it’s effected him and some of our fans tried to make some unnecessary jokes from him. We all not saints or good people’s, we all do mistakes. Sometimes will achieve great things after we correct our mistakes. All the great players had a bad patches and bad times. Even greats like kumar Sangakkara and Mahela jayawardena had a terrible World Cup in 2003 and they dropped from the side. See after how they ended up their careers. Recently Dinesh Chandimal dropped from the side. One of the hard working and genuine fellow I have seen in cricket field and how he gave his come back after he dropped. He fought to earn his place, he loose his captaincy as well. He didn’t disheartened himself. He scored many runs at domestic and came back strongly in to national side again. That’s kind of mind set we all expecting from our young guys. So definitely he (kusal) will be back. As a cricketer, I would like to invite y’all to support him on this time, back him. Plz stop making unnecessary jokes from him. We have to protect great talents like him. Me be y’all can argue with me and you can tel me he got many chances and he didn’t capitalize or like that. True at the same time he did well and he proved him self. Let’s back him and give him some confidence. I’m talking about his cricketing life. At the Same time Plz support others players as well. Don’t keep any doubt in our future cricket. Our young guys will play good cricket in future for sure. Need bit of time to settle as a team.
