Two Sri Lankan fast bowlers will miss the first few matches of the IPL

Two Sri Lankan pacers, Dilshan Madushanka and Matheesha Pathirana, were injured during the Sri Lanka tour of Bangladesh. Matheesha Pathirana suffered a hamstring injury during Sri Lanka’s recent T20I series, while Dilshan Madushanka suffered a hamstring injury during the ODI series against Bangladesh. Accordingly, both Sri Lankan fast bowlers will miss the first few matches of the upcoming Indian Premier League 2024, which kick off on March 22.

Matheesha Pathirana plays for the Chennai Super Kings, while Dilshan Madushanka plays for the Mumbai Indians in the 17th edition of the IPL.
