Sri Lanka is on the driving seat in the first test against Bangladesh

At the end of the 3rd day of the 1st Test match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, Bangladesh need 464 runs to win with 5 wickets in hand at Sylhet on Sunday.

Sri Lankan skipper Dhananjaya de Silva and Vishwa Fernando starred in Sri Lanka’s second innings on the third day, and Vishwa Fernando was dismissed early. After that, Dhananjaya de Silva and Kamindu Mendis made a 172-run partnership for the 7th wicket. Dhananjaya de Silva scored 108 runs, and Kamindu Mendis made his highest score in Test matches and scored 164 runs. For Bangladesh, Mehidy Hasan Miraz claimed four wickets. Eventually, Sri Lanka bowled out 418 runs.

Bangladesh came out to bat and chased down the target of 511 runs. However, Bangladesh hasn’t had a good start, and they lost half of their team at the end of the day for 47 runs. Zakir Hasan scored 19 runs. At the end of the day, Mominul Haque was on the crease with Taijul Islam. For Sri Lanka, Vishwa Fernando chipped in with three wickets.
