Sri Lanka Announce 19-Member Squad for Second Test Against Bangladesh

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has officially announced a 19-member squad for the upcoming second Test match against Bangladesh. The match is scheduled to begin on June 25, 2025, at the SSC Ground in Colombo.

Two changes have been made to the squad that played in the first Test. Dunith Wellalage and Vishva Fernando have been included as replacements for Angelo Mathews, who recently announced his retirement from Test cricket, and Milan Rathnayake, who has been ruled out due to injury.

According to SLC, Milan Rathnayake sustained a left side strain while bowling during the first Test, making him unavailable for the second encounter.
The inclusion of Wellalage and Fernando is expected to strengthen both the spin and pace departments as Sri Lanka looks to secure the series at home.
