SRH won the high-scoring match

Sunrisers Hyderabad registered a 31-run win over Mumbai Indians in the 8th match of the Indian Premier League 2024 on Wednesday at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bowl first.


After losing the toss, Sunrisers Hyderabad posted a record-breaking total on the board and scored 277 runs for a loss of 3 wickets in their 20 overs. It holds the record for the highest team total in IPL history. Travis Head smashed 63 runs in 24 balls, while Abhishek Sharma scored 63 runs in 23 balls. Heinrich Klaasen was the top scorer with an unbeaten 80 runs in 34 balls, and Aiden Markram contributed with an unbeaten 42 runs.

In reply to that, the Mumbai Indians managed to score 246 runs for a loss of five wickets in their 20 overs. Tilak Varma was the top scorer with 64 runs in 34 balls, and Tim David scored an unbeaten 42 runs. Ishan Kishan scored 34 runs, and Naman Dhir smashed 30 runs in just 14 balls.
