On this day in 1996, Sri Lankan batter Asanka Gurusinha made his last appearance in Test matches. He played his last test match against Zimbabwe at the Singhalese Sports Club ground in Colombo. Gurusinha has played 41 Test matches and scored 2452 runs with seven Test hundreds.
