Record breaking opening partnership from Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma

Sunrisers Hyderabad registered a 67-run win over the Delhi Capitals in the 35th match of the Indian Premier League 2024 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Saturday. The Delhi Capitals won the toss and opted to bowl first.

After losing the toss, Sunrisers Hyderabad made a huge total on the board and scored 266 runs for a loss of 7 wickets in their 20 overs. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma were off to a flying start and made a 131-run partnership in 38 balls for the first wicket. Abhishek Sharma scored 46 runs in 12 balls, and Travis Head made 89 runs in 32 balls. At the back end of the innings, Shahbaz Ahmed made an unbeaten 59 runs in 29 balls. For the Delhi Capitals, Kuldeep Yadav claimed four wickets.

In reply to that, the Delhi Capitals bowled out 199 runs in 19.1 overs. Jake Fraser-McGurk was the top scorer and scored 65 runs on 18 balls. Rishabh Pant scored 44 runs, and Abishek Porel contributed 42 runs. While in the bowling department for Sunrisers Hyderabad, T Natarajan claimed 4 wickets for 19 runs, including a maiden over.
