Pathum Nissanka returns to the Test squad

Sri Lanka Cricket announced the 18-member squad for the upcoming Test series against England. Dhananjaya de Silva will lead the team, while Kusal Mendis will be the vice captain. Opening batter Pathum Nissanka returns to the Test squad after two years. Nissanka played his last Test match in 2022. Dimuth Karunarathne, Angelo Mathews, and Dinesh Chandimal were added to the squad to strengthen the Sri Lankan batting department.

Two uncapped pacers, Milan Ratnayake and Nisala Tharaka, have been called up for the squad, along with experienced seamers Kasun Rajith, Asitha Fernando, Vishwa Fernando, and Lahiru Kumara.

Sri Lanka will play three Test matches against England in England, which begin on August 21st.
