Pakistan Crush Oman by 93 Runs in Dubai
Pakistan registered a commanding 93-run victory over Oman in the 4th match of the Asia Cup 2025 at the Dubai International Stadium on Friday.
Pakistan skipper Salman Agha won the toss and opted to bat first. Despite an early setback with the dismissal of opener Saim Ayub, Pakistan built momentum through a solid second-wicket stand. Mohammad Haris (66) and Sahibzada Farhan (29) combined for an 85-run partnership, anchoring the innings.
Lower down the order, Mohammad Nawaz chipped in with 19 runs, while Fakhar Zaman remained unbeaten on 23, guiding Pakistan to a competitive total of 160/7 in 20 overs. For Oman, Shah Faisal and Aamir Kaleem were the standout bowlers, taking three wickets apiece.
Chasing 161, Oman faltered against Pakistan’s disciplined bowling attack and were bundled out for just 67 runs in 16.4 overs. Hammad Mirza (27) was the only batter to show some resistance, while Aamir Kaleem (13) and Shakeel Ahmed (10) managed brief contributions.
Pakistan’s bowlers kept the pressure on from the start. Faheem Ashraf, Sufiyan Muqeem, and Saim Ayub each picked up two wickets, ensuring Oman never settled into the chase.
