November 17: Dimuth Karunarathne made his debut
On this day in 2012, Sri Lankan Test captain and opening batter Dimuth Karunarathne made his debut in Test matches. Karunarathne played his maiden Test match against New Zealand at Galle. However, he was dismissed for a duck on his debut inning, and he managed to score unbeaten 60 runs in the second inning.
