November 16: Angelo Mathews record breaking hundred against India
On this day in 2014, Sri Lankan all-rounder and former captain Angelo Mathews scored his highest score in ODI matches. Angelo Mathews scored an unbeaten 139 runs in 116 balls with six fours and 10 sixes against India at Ranchi. It’s recorded as the most sixes in an innings against India in ODI matches for Sri Lanka.
On this day in 2014, Sri Lankan wicketkeeper batter Niroshan Dickwella made his debut in ODI matches. He played his maiden ODI match against India at Ranchi. Dickwella managed to score just four runs on his debut.
