Kandy moves to the top of the point table

B – Love Kandy registered an 89-run win over the Galle Titans in the 12th match of the Lanka Premier League 2023 on Tuesday at Pallekele. Galle Titans captain Dasun Shanaka won the toss and opted to bowl first.

After losing the toss, B-Love Kandy put a huge total on the board and scored 203 runs for the loss of five wickets in their 20 overs. Fakhar Zaman scored 45 runs, and Angelo Mathews scored 40 runs. Skipper Wanindu Hasaranga was the star with the bat and scored 64 runs in 27 balls with 9 fours and 2 sixes.

In reply to that, the Galle Titans bowled out for 114 runs in 16.4 overs. Lahiru Samarakoon was the top scorer with 36 runs, and Lasith Croospulle scored 27 runs. Ashan Priyanjan contributed 25 runs. For B-Love Kandy, skipper Wanindu Hasaranga claimed four wickets, while Nuwan Pradeep picked up three.

With that win B-Love Kandy moves to the point table with 6 points.
