Kamindu Mendis win the player of the month

The International Cricket Council announced the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for March 2024. According to the announcement, Sri Lankan all-rounder Kamindu Mendis win the ICC Men’s Player of the Month Award for March 2024. Ireland fast bowler Mark Adair and New Zealand pacer Matt Henry were nominated along with Kamindu Mendis for the award.

With that, Kamindu Mendis became the third Sri Lankan player to win the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award after Prabath Jayasuriya and Wanindu Hasaranga.

Kamindu Mendis had a wonderful outing during the Test series against Bangladesh. He was the leading run scorer with 367 runs in two match series and took three wickets. Kamindu Mendis made two consecutive hundreds in the first Test match.
