India Level the series

KL Rahul’s batting and Ravichanran Ashwin’s bowling performances registered a 75 runs win for India over Australia, in 2nd  test match, at the Bengaluru on Tuesday. Indian Captain Virat Kholi won the coin toss, and elected to bat first.

After the winning the toss India bowled out for 189 runs. For India it was KL Rahul who was the top scorer with 90 runs. Karun Nair contributed with 26 runs. While in the bowling department, it was Nathan Lyon, who claimed eight-wickets in India 1st Innings. 

In reply that Australia manage to score 276 runs and set 87 runs lead. Shaun Marsh was the top scorer with 66 runs and Matt Renshaw scored 60 runs. Matthew Wade contributed with 40 runs. Australia lost their last 4 wickets for 7 runs. Ravindra Jadeja took 6 wickets for 63 runs.

India stared their 2nd Innings 87 runs behind. Lokesh Rahul scored 51 runs and he build a 55 runs partnership for the 2nd wicket with Cheteshwar Pujara.  In Indian 2nd Innings it was Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane who set the winning partnership for India.Both added 118 runs for the 5th wicket. Ajinkya Rahane scored 52 runs and Cheteshwar Pujara made 92 runs. However eventually India manage to score 274 runs for their 2nd Innings. Josh Hazlewood claimed 6 wicket.

Australia required 188 runs to win the 2nd Test. But Australia bowled out for 112. Australian never really got going and lost wickets at regular intervals. Steven Smith was the top scorer with 28 runs. Ravichanran Ashwin bowled brilliantly in the Australian 2nd Innings and took 6 wickets for 41 runs
