Heavy defeat to Australia

New Zealand registered 89 runs win over Australia, in 13th T20I of the T20I World Cup at the Sydney on Saturday. Australia Captain Aaron Finch won the coin toss and elected to ball first.

After losing the toss New Zealand put huge target in front of Australia. They made 200 runs for lost of 3 wickets in their 20 overs. Kiwis had a good start with 56 runs. Opening batsman Finn Allen scored 42 runs in 16 balls. After the dismissal of Finn Allen, skipper Kane Williamson joined with the Devon Conway and made 69 runs partnership for the 2nd wicket. Williamson made 23 runs. 27 runs later Glenn Phillips got out for 12. However Neesham and Conway finished the innings in style. Both added 48 runs 24 balls for the 4th wicket. Jimmy Neesham scored an unbeaten 26 runs. Devon Conway was the top scorer with an unbeaten 92 runs.

In reply that Australia bowled out for 111 runs in 17.1 overs. New Zealand bowlers kept things tight and put pressure on Australia. Australian batsman couldn’t make a good partnership in the middle. Glenn Maxwell was the top scorer with 28 runs. For New Zealand Tim Southee and Mitchell Santner claimed 3 wickets each.
