Hasan Ali replace Naseem Shah in upcoming World Cup
The Pakistan Cricket Board announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, which will be held in India. Pakistan regular captain Babar Azam will lead the side for the first time in World Cup matches.
Naseem Shah was ruled out of the World Cup squad due to an injury in the recently concluded Asia Cup. He injured his shoulder during the Super Four match against India in the ACC Asia Cup 2023. PCB decided to recall Hasan Ali as a replacement for injured Naseem Shah. Hasan Ali played his last ODI match in January 2023 against New Zealand.
