Former Team-mates disappointed about SLC comments on Murali

Sri Lanka Legend Muttiah Muralitharan join with Australian side as a spin coach for ongoing Australian tour of Sri Lanka. On this cause SLC President Thilanga Sumathipala said “Professionally it is ok for Murali to coach any foreign team, but the irony is that he is supporting Australia which tried to get him out of Cricket”. In reply that Muralitharan said “ I am not a traitor. Sri Lanka has not tried to make use of my service, so I am helping the Australians  who value my contributions”.

Also Former Sri Lankan Captain Mahela Jayawardena had same experience with SLC President Thilanga Sumathipala recently when Jayawardena joined with the England team as a batting consultant. On this topic he Tweet and said “ Very disappointed to hear about SLC comments on Murali. I was in the same boat few months ago”. Also added that “I can only say that people know the circumstance and situations. Murali don’t have to defend him self”.

Also Sri Lankan legendry batsmen Kumar Sangakkara tweet and said “ Murali is a great son of Sri Lanka and he doesn’t have to defend himself. He love his country. He is free to consult or coach anyone”.

 Sri Lanka World Cup winning captain Arjuna Ranatunga also talked about Muralitharan during a press conference at Grand Oriental Hotel. “It was the Australia Cricket Board which hammered Murali and called him everything that was despicable. The very fact that they have employed him is clear vindication of our position, that we were right all along about his innocence and our fight” he said.
