England lead the series
England registered a 23-run win over Pakistan in the 2nd T20I of the series at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Saturday. The Pakistan captain won the toss and opted to bowl first.
After losing the toss, England made 183 runs for a loss of seven wickets in their 20 overs. Jos Buttler was the top scorer with 84 runs, and Will Jacks scored 37 runs. Both Buttler and Will Jacks made a 71-run partnership for the second wicket. Jonny Bairstow contributed 21 runs. For Pakistan, Shaheen Afridi claimed three wickets.
In reply to that, Pakistan bowled out 160 runs in 19.2 overs. After the loss of both their openers cheaply, skipper Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman made a 53-run partnership for the 3rd wicket and rebuilt the innings. Babar Azam scored 32 runs, and Fakhar Zaman was the top scorer with 45 runs in 21 balls. Iftikhar Ahmed and Imad Wasim contributed with 23 and 22, respectively. For England, Reece Topley took three wickets.
