Zimbabwe successfully defended 129 Runs
Zimbabwe registered a 3-run win over Afghanistan, in 3rd ODI of the five match series, at the Harare on Tuesday. Zimbabwe Captain Graeme Cremer won the coin toss, and elected to bat first
Zimbabwe openers couldn’t able to give them a solid start and they lost Solaman Mire at the score of 09. Zimbabweans never really got going and lost wickets at regular intervals. However Tarisai Musakanda and Malcolm Waller made 81 runs partnership for the 6th wicket and try to rebuild the Zimbabwe innings. For Zimbabwe, it was Tarisai Musakanda, who was the top scorer with 60 runs. Malcolm Waller contributed with unbeaten 36 runs. Zimbabwe lost their last 5 wickets for just 8 runs. while in the bowling department, it was Mohammad Nabi, who claimed four-wickets. Eventually Zimbabwe were bowled out for 129 runs in 32.4 overs
In Reply that Afghanistan all out for 126 runs. Afghanistan batsman got some starts but no one able to bat throughout the innings. For Afghanistan, it was skipper Asghar Stanikzai, who was the top scorer with 31 runs.The Zimbabwean bowlers kept things tight and never let go of their grip. Afghanistan lost their last 5 wickets for just 5 runs. Tendai Chatara, Sean Williams and Chris Mpofu claimed 3 wickets each. However Afghanistan were bowled out for 126 runs in 29.3 over.
