United States won the series with one match to spare

The United States registered a six-wicket win over Bangladesh in the second T20I of the series at the Prairie View Cricket Complex in Houston on Thursday. Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and opted to bowl first.

After losing the toss, the United States made 144 runs for a loss of six wickets in their 20 overs. Monank Patel and Monank Patel made a 44-run partnership for the first wicket. Monank Patel was the top scorer with 42 runs. Steven Taylor scored 31 runs, while Aaron Jones contributed 35 runs. For Bangladesh, Rishad Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman, and Shoriful Islam chipped in with two wickets each.

In reply to that, Bangladesh were bowled out for 138 runs in 19.3 overs. Najmul Hossain Shanto was the top scorer with 36 runs, and Shakib Al Hasan scored 30 runs. Towhid Hridoy made 25 runs. Bangladesh lost its last four wickets with 14 runs. For the USA, Ali Khan claimed 3 wickets, while Saurabh Netravalkar and Shadley van Schalkwyk chipped in with 2 wickets.

With that, the United States won the series with one match to spare.
