Twitter Reaction: Glenn Maxwell match winning double hundred
Australia registered a three-wicket win over Afghanistan in the 39th match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 on Tuesday at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Afghanistan batted first and scored 291 runs for a loss of 5 wickets in their 50 overs. In reply to that, Australia chased down the target successfully and scored 293 runs for a loss of 7 wickets in 46.5 overs.
At one stage, Afghanistan was in the driving seat, and Australia struggled with 7 wickets for 91 runs. However, Glenn Maxwell single-handedly guided the team to a great victory with an unbeaten 201 runs.
Many cricketers tweeted about this special knock and congratulated Maxwell.
