Tamim and Mahmudullah back in ODI side

The Bangladesh Cricket Board announced the 15-member squad for the first and second ODIs of the upcoming three-match home series against New Zealand. BCB decided to bring back their most experienced batters and former captains, Tamim Iqbal and Mahmudullah, after a while. Both Tamim and Mahmudullah weren’t included in the Asia Cup squad. 

Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Cricket Board decided to rest their key players like Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taskin Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud, and Shoriful Islam, who played in the recent ACC Asia Cup 2023. In the absence of their regular captain, Shakib, Liton Das will lead the team against New Zealand. Najmul Hossain Shanto is still recovering from his injury, and he is also not included in the squad.

Liton Das (c), Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Tawhid Hridoy, Mahmudullah, Mahedi Hasan, Nasum Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Nurul Hasan Sohan, Zakir Hasan, Anamul Haque Bijoy, Rishad Hossain, Syed Khaled Ahmed.
