Sri Lanka Test squad announced

The Sri Lanka Cricket Board officially announced the 16-member squad for the upcoming Test match against Afghanistan.

For the first time, newly appointed Sri Lankan Test captain Dhananjaya de Silva will lead the team while Kusal Mendis works as the vice captain.

Three uncapped players—Lahiru Udara, Chamika Gunasekera, and Milan Rathnayake—were included in the squad. Dinesh Chandimal, Dimuth Karunarathne, and Angelo Mathews joined the team as senior players to strengthen the batting department.

The only Test match will begin on February 2 at Singhalese Sports Club Cricket Ground in Colombo.
