Ravichandran Ashwin won ICC Cricketer of the Year Award

International Cricket Council announced the winners of this year’s ICC Awards. Based on the 12 months between September 14,2015 and September 14,2016.

Ravichandran Ashwin named ICC Cricketer of the Year and ICC Test Cricketer of the Year

·         Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has become the 3^rd Indian player and 12^th player overall to in this Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy. He has took 48 Wickets and scored 336 runs in 8 Test and he claimed 27 Wickets in T20Is during the Voting period.  Also he clinches ICC Test Cricketer of the Year Award for his brilliant performances in the Test Matches.

Quinton de Kock named  ICC ODI Cricketer of the Year

·         South African Wicket keeper Batsman Quinton de Kock named as the ICC ODI Cricketer of the Year. He is the second South African player to win this award after AB de Villiers.  De Kock scored 793 runs in 16 ODIs with the average over 56. Also he dismissed 15 batsmen behind the Wicket.

Carlos Brathwaite won the the ICC T20I Performance of the Year

·         24 years old West Indies Cricketer Carlos BrathWaite won the ICC T20I Performance of the Year 2016 Award for his brilliant performance in ICC World T20 final against England in India. He scored match Winning 34 runs not out in 10 balls. He is the first West Indies player to win this Award.

Mustafizur Rahman named the ICC Emerging Cricketer of the Year

·         Bangladesh fast Bowler Mustafizur Rahman won the ICC Emerging Cricketer of the Year award. He claimed 8 ODI wickets and 19 T20I wickets during this period.  Mustafizur Rahman is the first Bangladesh player to win a ICC Award.

Mohammad Shahzad named ICC Associate and Affiliate Cricketer of the Year

·         Afghanistan Wicket Keeper Batsman Mohammad Shahzad won ICC Associate and Affiliate Cricketer of the Year award. He scored 699 runs in 16 ODIs . He also scored 301 runs in four innings of three ICC Intercontinental Cup first-class matches and also contributed 533 runs in 17 T20Is. He is the first Afghanistan player to win this award

 

 International Cricket Council announced the winners of ICC Spirit of Cricket Award and ICC Umpire of the Year winners. Also they named ICC Test and ODI teams of the Year.

Pakistan Test Captain Misbah-ul-Haq won the ICC Spirit of Cricket Award. This is the first time that they won this Award. Marais Erasmus won the ICC Umpire of the Year Award.
