Mumbai Indians registered their first win

The Mumbai Indians registered a 29-run win over the Delhi Capitals in the 20th match of the Indian Premier League 2024 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday. Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and opted to bowl first.

After losing the toss, the Mumbai Indians made a huge total on the board and scored 234 runs for a loss of 5 wickets in their 20 overs. Both openers, Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan, made an 80-run partnership for the first wicket. Ishan Kishan scored 42 runs, and Rohit Sharma scored 49 runs. Tim David made an unbeaten 45 runs in 21 balls, and Romario Shepherd smashed an unbeaten 39 runs in just 10 balls. 

In reply to that, the Delhi Capitals managed to score 205 runs for a loss of eight wickets in their 20 overs. After the dismissal of David Warner when the score was 22, Prithvi Shaw and Abishek Porel made an 88-run partnership for the second wicket. Abishek Porel scored 41 runs, and Prithvi Shaw made 66 runs. Tristan Stubbs fought till the end and scored an unbeaten 71 runs in just 25 balls. For the Mumbai Indians, Gerald Coetzee claimed four wickets.
