March 18: Sanga and Mahela retired from ODI matches
On this day in 2011, Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara made his first hundred in World Cup matches. He scored 111 runs against New Zealand at Wankhede.
On this day in 2015, two Sri Lankan legends, Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene, made their last appearances in ODI matches. Their last ODI was the quarterfinal of the 2015 World Cup, played against South Africa in Sydney.
