July 22: Farveez Maharoof took a Hat-Trick
On This Day in 2010, Sri Lankan all-rounder Farveez Maharoof became the 3rd Sri Lankan to claim a hat trick in ODI matches after Chaminda Vaas and Lasith Malinga. Maharoof took this hat trick in the Asia Cup match against India at Dambulla. He took the wickets of Ravindra Jadeja, Praveen Kumar, and Zaheer Khan in three consecutive balls in the 39th over of India’s inning.
