Iceland Cricket made fun of Sri Lanka’s batting failure
India registered a comfortable 10-wicket win over Sri Lanka in the final of the Asia Cup 2023 on Sunday at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Sri Lanka batted first, and they were bowled out for 50 runs in 15.2 overs. In reply to that, India chased down the target successfully and scored 51 runs without losing any wickets in 6.1 overs.
Indian fast bowlers kept things tight and put pressure on Sri Lanka from the get-go. Mohammed Siraj destroyed the Sri Lankan innings, and he claimed six wickets. He completed his five-wicket haul within 15 balls. Siraj picked up four wickets in his second over.
Kusal Mendis scored 17 runs, and Dushan Hemantha scored an unbeaten 13 runs. Other than that, no one was able to pass the double-figure mark. Five Sri Lankan players were dismissed for “DUCK”.
At the end of the match, Iceland cricket tweeted about Sri Lanka’s batting collapse and trolled Sri Lankan batsmen.
They tweeted and said that they are not saying they would have done better than Sri Lanka today, but worst case, they would only have made 50 fewer runs.
We are not saying we would have done better than Sri Lanka today, but worst case we'd only have made 50 fewer runs.

Also, Iceland Cricket re-tweeted their post about Sri Lankan-born Iceland all-rounder Dushan Bandara’s recent match stats and said that they were wondering where all the Sri Lankan batting was, and they’ve got it.
Wondering where all the Sri Lankan batting is? We've got it. https://t.co/WWi10UnWfC
