Full Fixtures of the Asia Cup 2023
The Asia Cricket Council (ACC) announced the schedule for the upcoming Asia Cup, which will get under way on August 30, 2023, in Pakistan. For the first time in history, the Asia Cup 2023 will be hosted in a hybrid model, with four matches played in Pakistan and the remaining nine matches played in Sri Lanka. Pakistan will play the opening match against Nepal, while Sri Lanka will play the second match of the tournament against Bangladesh. The most exciting match between India and Pakistan will be played at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on September 2.
A total of 13 matches, including the semi-final and final, will be played from August 30 to September 17. Six teams will take part in the tournament, and all the teams will feature two groups.
Group A: India, Pakistan, and Nepal
Group B: Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan
At the end of the first round, the top two teams from each group qualified for the Super Four stage. In the Super Four stage, Pakistan will remain A1 and India will remain A2. If either India or Pakistan doesn’t qualify for the next round, Nepal will take their position in the Super Four stage. On the other hand, Sri Lanka will remain B1 and Bangladesh will remain B2 in the Super Four stage, and If either of them doesn’t qualify for the Super Four, Afghanistan will take their position.
