Doug Bracewell Announces Retirement from All Forms of Cricket
New Zealand allrounder Doug Bracewell has officially announced his retirement from all forms of cricket, bringing an end to a distinguished career at both international and domestic level.
The 35-year-old represented New Zealand across all three formats, featuring in 28 Tests, 21 One-Day Internationals, and 20 Twenty20 Internationals. Known for his ability to contribute with both bat and ball, Bracewell was a dependable performer during his time in the black jersey.
Confirming the decision through a statement released by Central Districts, Bracewell reflected on his journey in the game and the pride of representing his country.
“It’s been a proud part of my life, and something I aspired to as a young cricketer,” Bracewell said.
Bracewell made his mark in international cricket with several memorable performances, particularly in the longer format, and remained a key figure in New Zealand’s domestic circuit for many years.
