Dasun Shanaka breaks a record that has stood for 16 years
Sri Lanka skipper Dasun Shanaka played a magnificent knock against India on Thursday at Pune. He scored an unbeaten 56 runs in 22 balls with six sixes and two fours. Dasun Shanaka made his fifty in 20 balls, which is recorded as the fastest T20I fifty for Sri Lanka. Previously, Sri Lankan legend Mahela Jayawardene held the record with 21 balls. He scored 65 runs against Kenya in Johannesburg in 2007.
