Comfortable win for Chennai Super Kings
Chennai Super Kings registered a 7-wicket win over Kolkata Knight Riders in the 22nd match of the Indian Premier League 2024 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Monday. Chennai Super Kings captain Ruturaj Gaikwad won the toss and opted to bowl first.
After losing the toss, the Kolkata Knight Riders scored 137 runs for a loss of nine wickets in their 20 overs. Shreyas Iyer was the top scorer with 34 runs, and Sunil Narine scored 27 runs. Angkrish Raghuvanshi contributed 24 runs. For the Chennai Super Kings, Tushar Deshpande and Ravindra Jadeja claimed three wickets each.
In reply to that, the Chennai Super Kings chased down the target successfully and scored 141 runs for a loss of 3 wickets in 17.4 overs. Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad was the top scorer with an unbeaten 67 runs, and Shivam Dube scored 28 runs.
